The high school track team had an exciting year. The girls team broke many Lake Center records. Each year the team has improved.
With so few in numbers, they don’t always compete with the teams but LCCS athletes ran against Fairless, Coventry and Mogadore and athletes were able to score first and second in events.
The Varsity Girls took second in the Heartland Invitational, fifth in the Columbiana Invitational and first in the Woods County Invitational.
In OHSAA Districts, Halle Gingerich qualified back in the 800 and the 1600. Alyssa Weaver qualified in the 200 and our 4x200 team, which includes Jamie McHugh, Ali Guthrie, Annie Diller and Alyssa Weaver, also qualified. |
