Despite concerns about a slow economy, a crowd of at least 400 people attended the 22nd Annual Lake Center Christian School Auction on Saturday, May 10, 2008 and helped raise about $55,000 for the school’s operating budget.
Many people generously donated items to be sold at Lake Center Christian School (LCCS) in Hartville, including Jonas Brothers concert tickets, Cavs playoff tickets, various signed sports items, quilts, live and artificial plants, meals, and even a car. The generosity continued as people bid on the donated items, often well above the items actual value.
All of the funds raised are deposited into LCCS’ operating budget in order to help keep tuition costs as low as possible, making a high-quality Christian education attainable for more families.
