Secondary Curriculum

To qualify for graduation from Lake Center Christian High School, students must meet the following requirements:

• Earn 24 credits, including 4 in Bible (1 credit for each HS year at LCCS), 4 in English, 3 in Math, 3 in Science, 3 in Social Studies, 1/2 in Physical Education (1 semester of PE is 1/4 of a credit), 1/2 in Health, 1/2 in Fine Arts, 1/2 in Business and Technology, and 2 to 5 Electives.
• Pass all five parts of the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT).
• Meet all standards set forth by LCCS.

Classes offered in Grades 9-12

• Bible: Offerings include Old Testament and New Testament Thematic Overview, Church and Anabaptist History, Bible Literature, Worldview, Ethics and Christian Apologetics, Missions, Christ and Family Living, and Christian Service.
• English/Language Arts: Offerings include English at each grade level, AP English, Public Speaking, and Journalism.
• Math: Offerings include Algebra, Integrated Math, Advanced/Honors Math, Calculus, and Consumer Math.
• Science: Offerings include Physical Science, Biology, AP Biology, Chemistry, AP Chemistry, Physics, AP Physics, and Environmental Science.
• Social Studies: Offerings include World History, U.S. History, U.S. Government, Fundamentals of Economics, Current Issues and Events, and Microeconomics.
• Business & Technology: Offerings include Business Communications, Application Software, Intro to Business, Web Design, Digital Photography, and Yearbook Production.
• Family, Health & PE: Offerings include PE, Summer PE, Health, Fun With Foods, Early Child Development, Career Mentorship, Student Aide, and Work Study.
• Fine Arts: Offerings include Choir, Band, String Orchestra, Fundaments of Art, Acting, and Music Theory.
• Foreign Language: Offerings include Spanish and Independent Study.

Course offerings are contingent upon the number of students enrolled and teacher availability.
